Dear Parents and Guardians,
We want to share some important information regarding resources available to families of children and youth with disabilities. Every state, including Texas, has at least one Parent Training and Information Center (PTI) funded by the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) at the U.S. Department of Education, under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). These centers are designed to provide parents with the support, resources, and information they need to advocate for their children effectively.
These projects are operated by Partners Resource Network (PRN), a non-profit organization that runs the Texas PTI projects as a statewide network. PRN serves parents of children and youth with disabilities from birth through age 26, as well as youth self-advocates aged 14-26.
