Dear MWHS Parents,
Are you looking for a meaningful opportunity for your child to make a difference in our community? We’re excited to announce the Rotary Interact Club, a student-led group for 9th-12th graders that focuses on impactful projects right here at Mineral Wells High School and beyond.
Our first meeting is on Thursday, October 3, 2024, in the high school library during A & B lunch (12:30–1 pm), and we’d love for your student to join us!
Not only is this a great way to give back, but your student can also earn service hours just by attending our meetings. Seniors will even have the opportunity to earn an Interact Graduation Cord through participation and volunteer hours.
One of our key initiatives is the Ram Care Closet, which provides free hygiene items like shampoo and soap to any student in need, no questions asked. Additionally, we proudly run flags for the Flags Across Mineral Wells Program, where we set up American flags around the community six times a year to help fund our efforts. It’s a fun way to build school spirit and make a positive impact!
We meet just once a month during lunch on the first Thursday—so it’s easy for your student to get involved while still managing their schoolwork. Encourage your child to sign up today and start making a difference with the Rotary Interact Club!
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to me at kbullock@mwisd.net. We look forward to seeing your student at our first meeting!
Sincerely,
Karyn Bullock
