Under provisions of the Texas Education Code, every school district is required to develop a district plan to improve student performance. Mineral Wells Independent School District (MWISD) uses a collaborative planning process that includes input from district staff, parents, and community members to guide this work.

District and campus improvement plans are developed annually to support and align with state goals and objectives outlined in the Texas Education Code, Chapter 4, while addressing the unique needs of MWISD students and campuses.

The MWISD Board of Trustees oversees the district’s planning and decision-making process and annually reviews and approves the recommendations and goals outlined in the District Improvement Plan.
