The objective of the Mineral Wells ISD Transportation Department is to provide safe, efficient and dependable transportation for the students and parents of the district. We recognize that this is an important service within the educational system. As members of the Transportation Department, we will conduct ourselves as professionals, dedicated to caring for the people we serve. Working together, we will provide the safest and best service possible. When this is accomplished, we can be proud of the contribution that each of us has made in preparing our students for the future.
The transportation department will be available at each campus beginning August 1, 2018 to answer any questions you might have. Please refer to the schedule below for dates and times. Each school bus operator must pass a mental and physical examination annually. The MWISD Transportation Department may assist MWISD employees in obtaining this physical.
The following procedures will need to be followed once the physical is completed and a Medical Certificate is issued:
Once the above is completed the operator will be issued a new driver license with an exception on it. This form will not have to submitted again until your CDL is renewed. Failure to complete the above will result in a downgrade of your CDL and prevent you from driving a school bus.
