Media Release for Community Eligibility Provision (CEP)—Year 5 and Successive Years
The Mineral Wells ISD has announced it will continue its policy to operate the Community Eligibility Program (CEP) under the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program for the 2023-2024 school year at all campuses. Schools qualifying to operate CEP serve breakfast and lunch to all children at no charge and eliminate the collection of meal applications for free, reduced-price, and paid student meals. This approach reduces burdens for both families and school administrators and helps ensure that students receive nutritious meals. Students can still purchase ala carte (extra servings) and snack items with cash, check or from money on their account(MySchoolBucks). A Socio-Economic form will need to be filled out at the beginning of the school year. It can be found on the registration page or in the student packet.
