Superintendent David Tarver

David Tarver has been serving as the Superintendent of Mineral Wells ISD since June 2024. Before this role, he served as the Assistant Superintendent since July 2016, bringing with him a wealth of experience and dedication to the district since 1996. Over the years, he has taken on numerous roles, including:

• Teacher/Coach
• Special Education Campus Coordinator
• Transition Coordinator
• Community-Based Instruction (CBI) Coordinator
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Instructor
• Assistant Principal

During his tenure as a coach, David contributed significantly to the football program, serving as an assistant coach, offensive coordinator, off-season coordinator, and assistant head coach. He also held the position of head softball coach. His influence has spanned Travis Elementary, Junior High, High School, and the Palo Pinto Cooperative.

In addition to his extensive work within Mineral Wells ISD, David served one year as the Secondary Principal for Perrin-Whitt CISD.

David resides in the Mineral Wells school district with his wife, Summer, and their children, Reece, Ty, Rylan, and Blake. The Tarver family cherishes being an integral part of the vibrant Mineral Wells community.
