TEA Parental Rights and Options Information – 2026–2027 School Year

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Mineral Wells ISD is committed to keeping our families informed about their rights and options regarding their child’s education.

As required by the Texas Education Agency (TEA), school districts must provide parents and guardians with the Parental Rights and Options Information Form at the beginning of each school year. This information is also provided when a student enrolls in the district for the first time and is made available on the district website.

Attached, you will find the Parental Rights and Options Information Form, along with the TEA Parental Rights Handbook. These resources provide important information regarding parental rights, available options, and opportunities for involvement in your child’s education.  We encourage all parents and guardians to review these materials and become familiar with the rights and resources available to Texas public school families.  The information will also be available on the Mineral Wells ISD website for future reference.
