Important Bus Transportation Information for the First Day of School

Dear MWISD Parents and Guardians,

As we prepare for the first day of school, please review the important transportation information below to help ensure your student is ready to ride the bus.

If your student rode the bus last year...

If your student was registered for bus transportation last school year and you have not moved, they may begin riding the bus on the first day of school. Bus routes and stops will remain the same, so students should report to their regular bus stop from last year.

If you've moved...

If your family has moved over the summer and you have already updated your address in Skyward, you must contact your student's campus to verify your new address and register for bus transportation.


Important Deadline:
To begin riding the bus on the first day of school, all transportation changes had to be completed by last Thursday July 30, 2026.  If you wait until Monday or later to register for bus transportation, your student will not be eligible to ride the bus until after August 10.

Have Questions?

Transportation staff will be available to assist families during Meet the Teacher tonight, Tuesday, August 3, with information tables set up at all three elementary campuses. Stop by if you have questions about bus routes, registration, or transportation services.
