🚍 MWISD Launches New Transportation Safety & Communication System on Monday, August 11, 2025

Dear Ram Families,

We are excited to introduce BusView, a new student transportation safety and communication system being implemented across Mineral Wells ISD for the 2025–2026 school year. This innovative system is designed to enhance safety, streamline communication, and provide families with greater visibility into their child’s transportation experience.

As part of this new initiative, every student in the district will receive a badge during the first week of school. Students who ride a bus route will scan their badge when getting on and off, beginning Monday, August 25, 2025, allowing us to track ridership in real time, monitor route safety, and respond quickly to any transportation concerns. 

To support this system, we encourage all parents to download the free ParentView app beginning August 11, 2025. The app will be available on the Google Play Store, Apple App Store, or by visiting the BusView website. The app provides real-time updates with time and location stamps when your child boards or exits the bus, and notifies you of any route delays or changes. You can even set perimeter alerts to be notified when the bus is approaching your home.

To register in the app, you will need your child’s school campus, student ID number, date of birth, and a 4-digit registration code. When you set up your account, you will receive a confirmation email that includes your personalized 4-digit access code. If you are unable to locate the code, you can contact the MWISD Transportation Department or your child’s campus. Transportation staff will also be available to assist families during Elementary Meet the Teacher Night on Monday with app setup and registration support.

If you have more than one child who rides the bus, register one student first, then log in and select “New Student” to add additional children. The platform is user-friendly and available in both English and Spanish.

Please note: All transportation change requests must be made by contacting your child’s campus directly. Changes cannot be submitted through the app.

For the 2025–2026 school year, the BusView system will be used only for regular school route transportation. Integration of athletics, UIL events, and field trips into the system is planned for the 2026–2027 school year.
