Mineral Wells ISD Celebrates Red Ribbon Week with Exciting Theme Dress-Up Days

Due to testing schedules, Mineral Wells High School (MWHS) will celebrate Red Ribbon Week from October 21st to October 24th, while nd Mineral Wells Junior High (MWJH) and MWISD Elementary Schools will join in from October 28th to October 31st. Each campus will participate in fun dress-up theme days, encouraging students and staff to get involved while promoting the importance of staying drug-free.
Here’s the line-up of dress-up days for the week:
Mineral Wells High School (October 21-24)

Monday, October 21: “Sweat Out Drugs”
Wear sweats or athletic clothes to remind us to stay healthy and drug-free. -
Tuesday, October 22: “Black Out Drugs”
Wear all black and sunglasses to show solidarity in saying no to drugs. -
Wednesday, October 23: “Give Drugs the Boot”
Dress in your best western wear as we ‘boot’ drugs out of our lives. -
Thursday, October 24: “Team Up Against Drugs”
Wear your favorite NFL, college team shirt, or Ram gear to show we’re united against drugs.

Monday, October 28: “We Are Red-Y to Say No to Drugs”
Red Out Day – wear red to kick off the week and pledge to live drug-free. -
Tuesday, October 29: “Catch a Wave to Being Drug-Free”
Dress in tropical attire as we ride the wave toward a healthy lifestyle. -
Wednesday, October 30: “Ma Momma Said Don’t Do Drugs”
Dress up as your favorite Adam Sandler character for a fun, drug-free day. -
Thursday, October 31: “Rams Against Drugs”
Show your Ram pride by wearing Ram spirit gear to support being drug-free.
Lamar, Houston, & Travis Elementary Schools (October 28-31)

Wear fun or unique socks to kick off Red Ribbon Week. -
Tuesday, October 29: “My Future Is Bright Without Drugs”
Wear neon or bright colors to show that your future is brighter without drugs. -
Wednesday, October 30: “Being Drug-Free Is No Sweat”
Wear your favorite sweats to remind everyone that being drug-free is easy and cool. -
Thursday, October 31: “Team Up Against Drugs”
Show team spirit by wearing your favorite Ram or sports team gear.
Red Ribbon Week is an important opportunity to engage students in conversations about the significance of living drug-free and making healthy choices for the future. The dress-up days provide a fun way for students and staff to come together and celebrate this important message.
